The ARU-M adjustable electronic door strike from CDVI is a monitored electronic door strike that can either be set to fail safe or fail secure. Fail safe ensures the lock stays open when the power is removed. These are usually used in areas that have high volume footfall and need to be kept open in the event of an emergency such as stairwells. Fail secure ensures the lock stays closed when the power is removed. This is usually used in restricted areas that don't have high volume footfall and need to be kept secure, such as IT or server rooms.
The ARU_M is supplied with 2 different sized faceplates, long and short, and can withstand up to 750kg holding force. It also features a built in MOV (metal oxide varistor) which provides protection against ecteronic spikes that can cause damage to electrical devices.
